Bruce Haas joined IRG in May of 1999 after an 18 year career with CB Richard Ellis.  Since joining IRG, Mr. Haas has been involved in the acquisition of over 30 million square feet of property.

Mr. Haas is actively involved in overseeing the leasing and asset management of the entire IRG portfolio.  For the 8.5 million square feet site McClellan Park, Mr. Haas has the responsibility of leasing and redeveloping the existing facilities, including setting up and overseeing our own leasing property.

Mr. Haas originated the purchase of the Downey project which started in January of 1999 and was ultimately acquired in March of 2004.  Through IRG’s purchase, the continued redevelopment and site management started in 2003.

Mr. Haas has many roles and responsibilities at IRG which include working with all the property and construction managers of the IRG portfolio.  Mr. Haas’s other responsibilities include sourcing and underwriting new transactions, managing IRG assets, overseeing all major leases and sales transactions, and working with outside brokers.  Mr. Haas personally develops relationships with major accounts and tenants.

Prior to joining IRG, Mr. Haas was involved in three redevelopment projects in Southern California involving the following sites: the Owens Brockway glass manufacturing plant, the Simpson Paper Mill, and Boyd Furniture.  Mr. Haas and his partner purchased the Owens Brockway glass manufacturing plant, a 650,000 multi-building facility on 33 acres, and only after one year, redesigned it into the Reservoir Industrial Center with 11 different tenants.  Additionally, Mr. Haas was instrumental in keeping Boyd Furniture, the largest furniture manufacturer west of the Mississippi, from leaving the Southern California area.  Working with such contacts as the City of Pomona and the US Navy, Mr. Haas structured a long-term lease with option to purchase the former naval site in Pomona.

In 1981, Mr. Haas graduated from Claremont Men’s College with a double major in economics and political science.  He also studied labor economics for a semester at the London School of Economics.
